Serves 6 people
This dish is prepared with savoury bananas and is deliciously creamy.
Ingredients
1 lb. stewing meat
6 small green bananas
2 onions chopped
2 tbsp. butter
2 cups chopped potatoes
1 tsp. Ukuva iAfrica Smoky Garlic sauce
1 tsp. ginger paste
2 tbsp Ukuva iAfrica Swazi Mamma Mamba chilli sauce
½ cup thick coconut milk
Ukuva iAfrica Khoisan Seaweed Salt to taste
Ukuva iAfrica Madagascar Garlic Pepper to taste
Method
1.Cut the meat into small pieces and marinade in the Ukuva iAfrica Smoky Garlic sauce, ginger, Ukuva iAfrica Swazi Mamma Mamba chilli sauce, Ukuva iAfrica Khoisan Seaweed Salt and Ukuva iAfrica Madagascar Garlic Pepper for one to two hours.
2.Cook the meat in some water until tender.
3.Peel the bananas and add to the meat with the chopped onions. Add water if necessary and allow to simmer until tender.
4.Add the butter and mash the banana.
5.Lastly add the thick coconut milk and cook over low heat for further 5 minutes.
