After more than 1,000 miles of dusty roads, our weary traveller arrived in Manzini, the capital of the Kingdom of Swaziland. "Wandering through the streets, I met Mamma Mamba. Born beneath her mother's street food stall, she told me how, when she was 7, she came to lose three toes on her left foot after being bitten by a mamba (snake). What had drawn me to Mamma Mamba's food stall was the aroma of her amazing flame grilled chicken - the best I have ever tasted."
Although our chef wanted to stay and enjoy Mamma Mamba's chicken, after the hustle and bustle of Manzini he longed for the tranquillity of rural Africa and so set out for Zululand further south. He did not have to travel far before arriving in the small village of Kosi Bay.
