Having recovered from the palm wine, our traveller knew time was running short and he had to leave Timbo and his way of life behind. He was determined to follow the coast with its refreshing sea breezes. It was only some months later after arriving back in Cape Town,did it dawn on the traveller the unique ukuva or senses that he was privileged to encounter. In a bid to capture the Ukuva iAfrica and provide employment to people, (many of whom had come to the city form rural areas he had visited in search of work), he decided to use the delicious original recipes collected on this travels. All made the traditional African way from the finest FRESH vegetables and free from artificial flavours.
